Union Pacific says it will invest $51.5 million into Wyoming’s railroad infrastructure this year.
The company says $48 million will be spent directly on improving railroad tracks. The rest of the money will go into signal systems and bridges.
The money is part of a regular investment into the company’s railways.
Union Pacific has spent $430 million in Wyoming between 2010 and 2014.
