Billings businesses scrambling to boost mobile sites in wake of Google change

As more people use their smartphones to search the Internet, Google has made big changes to favor mobile-friendly sites, and Montana businesses are scrambling to keep up.
In April, officials at Google changed their search algorithms to favor "mobile-friendly" sites designed to look good on smartphones and tablets.
For sites that don’t meet those standards, that means a drop in Google search rankings, more work for customers to find them and a loss of visibility online.
