University of Montana Projected budget shortfall is $5.7 million
May 10, 2015 /
The University of Montana’s projected budget shortfall for the upcoming school year is $5.7 million, according to figures provided at the most recent campus budget committee meeting.
UM deans and department chairs will address the gap before the budget is submitted to the Board of Regents, said Mike Reid, vice president of finance at the university.
Early in the semester, Reid said UM had made conservative revenue projections, and last week he said the numbers held.
"In the end, our revenue projections really came in where we wanted them to be," Reid said.
