Hamilton-based MAPS after school media arts program wants to take classes on the road – Kickstarter Campaign

A non-profit after school program in the Bitterroot, has launched a fundraising campaign https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/mapsinstittute/mapsmobile?ref=project_share to share its knowledge of media arts throughout Montana.

Ravalli County commissioners have declared April 16th, MAPS http://wwww.mapsmediainstitute.com Day.

MAPS Media Institute had an open house Thursday, in Hamilton.

The program was started 11 years ago by retired Hollywood film producer Peter Rosten.

It offers students from 8th to 12th grade, classes free of charge, in music, film making, and graphic design. Recently, it started an entrepreneur class, teaching kids business skills.

MAPS Students Try to Take the Program on the Road

Students at an after school program for media students in Hamilton are launching campaign on kickstarter https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/mapsinstittute/mapsmobile?ref=project_share to teach other students across the state.

Students at the MAPS Media Institute Learn creative skills, in classes like music, graphic design and film. MAPS already has a van for traveling, but it needs funds for portable equipment.
