City Club Missoula Hosts Special Olympics Athletes – Let’s Fill the Adams Center for State Summer Games May 19-22. Volunteers Needed

"You will walk out of there with your hearts smiling," Norbie told City Club Missoula attendees Monday.

"I am so excited the Games are coming to my hometown," Missoula athlete Gary Fuller said Tuesday to a City Club Missoula https://www.cityclubmissoula.org/ luncheon for the kickoff celebration of Special Olympics Montana’s 2015 State Summer Games http://www.somt.org/volunteer .

The Games, to be held May 19-22, will attract some 1,200 athletes from across the state.

The challenge has been laid down: Fill the Adams Center for Special Olympics Montana’s 2015 State Summer Games opening ceremonies May 20.

That means some 7,000 people need to turn out to support athletes and enjoy free entertainment, including the Mission Mountain Wood Band.

Organizers met with the Missoula City Club today.

It’s been 10 years since the city hosted the summer games. It’s a lot of work.

Around 1,000 athletes plus their friends and family will be here. The games need hundreds of volunteers.
