Friendly competition challenges architects to design for urban renewal district
April 13, 2015 /
About 60 Montana architects — including a few architects-to-be studying at Montana State University — have been at their creative best trying to breathe new life, one building at a time, into the East Billings Urban Renewal District.
None did better work than Nick Pancheau of Collaborative Design Architects in Billings, the unanimous winner of the Celebrate Architecture competition. The friendly but spirited competition is part of the annual Meeting in the Mountains, a three-day conference that attracted 170 architects to Billings late last week.
