Oregon is first state to adopt automatic voter registration
March 17, 2015 /
Gov. Kate Brown has signed first-of-its-kind legislation under which anyone with an Oregon driver’s license will be automatically registered to vote.
During the Monday signing ceremony, Brown said the bill makes voting more secure, cost effective and convenient. Officials say it will add about 300,000 new voters.
