It’s Not Over! – Early Education Funding in Montana Still Has a Path to Success With Your Help

On Tuesday, the House Appropriations Committee voted to not include Early Edge in the budget bill, but there are still many paths forward.

It’s not over.

"We are going to keep fighting for our kids. The families of this state deserve no less," said Early Edge Action Chairman and KLJ Engineering CEO, Niles Hushka.

The full House will examine the budget next week. Call your legislator at
444-4800 and tell them to support including funding for Early Edge. You can

Early childhood education benefits Montana’s economy. Children in states with high-quality early childhood education initiatives are:

More likely to read at grade level

More likely to earn a high school diploma

Less likely to repeat a grade or require special education

Less likely to become teenage parents, require public assistance, abuse drugs, or end up in jail.

Let’s invest now, not later.

Educators, Law Enforcement, Parents and Business Owners agree:

It is time to bring pre-K to all Montana kids.

Can Montana kids count on you? Join the effort to make early childhood education available to every Montana four-year-old.
