The more voices we have speaking out about the success and meaning of this program to Montanans the more our leaders will listen.

As we come up on transmittal deadline for the 2015 Montana Legislature, we here at the film office wanted to update you on the status of the Montana film tax incentive, The Big Sky on the Big Screen Act.

HB 120, carried by Kathleen Williams (D) HD 61, is currently tabled in the House Appropriations Committee. This means that bill is not moving forward at the moment.

The Montana Department of Commerce and the Montana Film Office are currently working to discuss the bill and its positive effects with Montana’s legislators so that the bill may continue on.
