The key to this strategy is knowing and having control of the data. Without it, each franchisee is basically on their own.

Peer comparison to find best practices, changes in expectations, changing trends, competitive responses etc. are some of the elements that can come from a business intelligence system that provides everyone the ability to analyze all data in as close to real time as possible.

Franchise owners and their employees become more engaged if they know that their insights and suggestions that they get from their data analysis contributes to a more successful operation.

Customers feel more engaged with their locally focused provider whether it be bread or oil or insurance if the people they talk with have a 360 degree view of their relationship with the company.
