Bill aims to ban cellphone use while driving in Montana
January 18, 2015 /
Most major cities in Montana have enacted bans on talking and texting while driving. In addition to Bozeman, Billings, Missoula, Great Falls, Helena, Whitefish, Columbia Falls, Hamilton and Baker have bans. And Butte-Silver Bow and Anaconda-Deer Lodge counties have enacted countywide bans.
According to the Montana Department of Transportation, approximately 63 percent of Montanans already live in areas that ban cellphone use while behind the wheel.
