Great Falls schools to see differentiated diplomas
There will now be three types of diplomas high school students can earn.
Great Falls school trustees gave the green light to differentiated diplomas Monday night, which could be implemented as early as this spring.
Trustees were assured by Tom Moore, assistant superintendent for secondary schools, that the differentiated diplomas program will be reviewed on an annual basis to make sure it’s helping improve graduation rates and having a positive impact on all areas of study.
"It’s going to take some work on the counselors’ part and on the part of the associate principals," Moore said. "But some of our counselors believe we can make this happen this year."
