As research dollars get tighter, Montana campuses seek $15 million from Legislature
January 6, 2015 /
"The No. 1 message we’re carrying is investments in research can absolutely lead to a stronger economy."
Research generated more than $184 million at Montana universities and colleges last year, a shrinking total that could lend weight to the state University System’s pitch for a $15 million boost from the 2015 Legislature.
The Montana Board of Regents, holding a one-day meeting in Helena today at the start of the legislative session, will receive an annual report on research.
