Advocates push for public fiber network in Bozeman

Supporters of the development of a publicly owned fiber-optic cable network in Bozeman made their case before the City Commission on Monday night, saying that high-speed Internet is becoming essential infrastructure akin to roads or sewers.
"The existing model of Internet service provision is outdated," said city Economic Development Director Brit Fontenot.
