Bozeman to participate in program forecasting climate change impact on water utilities
December 8, 2014 /
"It’s really hard to know what the future holds. You hate to be trying to plan for a drought in the midst of a drought."
Bozeman is one of more than 20 U.S. communities selected to participate in an Environmental Protection Agency pilot program using computer software to forecast impacts of climate change on water utilities.
"It’s basically a way for us to conduct a risk assessment," said Lain Leoniak, the city’s water conservation specialist.
