Highly successful Bridger "Performance-Based Learning" experiment spreads to Bozeman High’s regular classes
December 7, 2014 /
"Performance-based instilled such a love of learning in me. It really brought me up in all areas of my life."
In the performance-based system, instead of passing a class by sitting through it for 180 days and earning a D or better, Bridger requires students to show mastery of specific skills, like solving linear equations.
Students can work at their own pace and have an opportunity to finish classes faster, if they earn A’s and B’s on the skills.
