Rape of disabled resident reported at Montana Developmental Center in Boulder

An advocacy group for the disabled says the rape of a female resident by a male resident at the Montana Developmental Center http://www.dphhs.mt.gov/dsd/MontanaDevelopmentalCenter.aspx in Boulder was the result of staff neglect.

Disability Rights Montana http://www.disabilityrightsmt.org says a report by the Montana Department of Justice also outlines a botched response to the Nov. 3 incident.

The group says the rape follows confirmed reports of 13 cases of abuse by staff in the past year.
