Montana University System must be more responsive to change, Commissioner Clayton Christian says

The Montana University System must respond to change more quickly and expand its dual-enrollment program to more high school students, members of the Office of the Commissioner of Higher Education said Thursday.

Addressing the state Board of Regents, Commissioner of Higher Education Clayton Christian said the system needs to be more responsive to state business and workforce needs, along with emerging technologies.

"The world is moving at a different pace, and I’m committed to seeing a system that meets that responsiveness," Christian said. "We know we’re a large ship, but we can turn that ship and do it at the pace Montana needs us to."
