Montana Career Opportunity – Planner – Land Solutions

Land Solutions, LLC, http://www.landsolutionsmt.com a growing land use planning and community development consulting firm, seeks a planner to be a part of our team serving state and local governments and private sector clients.

Must have strong computer skills (Microsoft Office and preferably GIS, drawing or graphic arts capabilities); a focus on customer service; excellent verbal and written communication skills, a desire to help communities thrive; an entrepreneurial attitude and the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients. Must have a driver’s license, vehicle and be willing to travel throughout the state to serve clients periodically (typically less than one week per month). Must be self-motivated and be able to juggle multiple projects.

The ideal candidate has practice with Montana zoning, subdivision, annexation and long range planning laws, and a specialized skill such as economics, downtown re-development, transportation planning, law, civil engineering, GIS analysis or landscape architecture. A bachelor’s degree in planning, community development, geography, environmental studies, landscape architecture or similar is required. A master’s degree and AICP certification is preferred.

Compensation is professional level, negotiable and dependent on what you bring to the table.

Relocation is not required — you can live anywhere in Montana.

If not within 30 minutes of Charlo, MT, a home office necessary.
