Missoula group aims to help more women enter tech field – Women for the Web

Bear Paw Development Corporation is a private non-profit organization created for the purpose of administering programs to help improve regional economic conditions in Hill, Blaine, Liberty, Chouteau and Phillips Counties and the Fort Belknap and Rocky Boy's Indian Reservations.

The Internet may be a gender neutral place online, but what about offline?

"A guy from our university made the coolest cooler, did anybody see that? $12 million," said SEO consultant Rebecca Holman.

The next big idea in Missoula could easily come from a woman of various educational backgrounds and age. That’s the message Women for the Web https://www.facebook.com/WomenfortheWeb hopes to spread – especially to women interested in the technology field where men dominate.

"I’m always the woman, or one or two in the office," said Women for the Web co-founder June Noel.
