Museum of the Rockies adds $48 million to local Bozeman, Montana area economy
September 18, 2014 /
The Museum of the Rockies http://www.museumoftherockies.org/ is bringing the world to Montana and Montana to the world, and it’s having a big impact on kids’ education and the economy.
Shelley McKamey, the museum’s executive director, delivered that message Wednesday to the Montana Board of Regents at the start of the regents’ two-day meeting in Billings.
The Museum of the Rockies – the state’s most visited museum — contributes $48 million a year to the Gallatin Valley’s economy and supports 733 jobs, McKamey said, citing a study by the Northern Rocky Mountain Economic Development District http://nrmedd.org/ .
