Butte-Silver Bow Information Technology Advisory Committee launches 8/14

The MDT Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program encourages and supports the participation of companies owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals in transportation contracts.

The new Butte-Silver Bow Information Technology Advisory Committee http://co.silverbow.mt.us/AgendaCenter/ViewFile/Agenda/08142014-566 will hold its inaugural meeting at noon Thursday, Aug. 14, in the Business Development Center, 305 W. Mercury.

The committee, formed by Chief Executive Matt Vincent and including Commissioner John Morgan, will assist the city-county in establishing an Information Technology Department. Butte-Silver Bow has never had a department responsible for information technology. Instead, information technology tasks have historically been a part of the Management Information Systems group within the Budget Office.
