Leading film production professors from throughout the United States and overseas will gather at Montana State University from Aug. 6-9 as part of the 2014 University Film and Video University Association conference http://ufva2014.com/ .

The 68th meeting of its kind, the conference is hosted by MSU"s School of Film and Photography and College of Arts and Architecture. The meeting is for the teachers who make films as well as talk about them, focusing on members’ film screenings, panel discussions related to all areas of teaching film and video, new media installations, and conversations among the various professional caucuses within the organization. The theme for this year’s meeting is Nature and Narrative, in recognition of both the growing importance of environmental issues in media and the emergence of MSU’s multiple award-winning MFA in Science and Natural History Filmmaking as a leader in innovative nonfiction production.
