Early education plans for Montana moving forward

Montana is taking baby steps toward the possibility of universal prekindergarten programming after Gov. Steve Bullock and state Superintendent of Public Instruction Denise Juneau introduced a new teacher endorsement Thursday.

Juneau and Bullock talked to members of the Montana Board of Public Education about their proposal to create an early education endorsement for teachers, which Juneau said will help create accredited prekindergarten programs if and when early childhood education receives legislative funding.
