Arkansas Entrepreneurial Study Inspired by Southern Growth Recommendations

The Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation has just released a new study, Entrepreneurial Arkansas: Connecting the Dots, that was inspired by the recommendations of Southern Growth http://www.southern.org Policies Board’s 2001 Report on the Future of the South — Invented Here: Transforming the Southern Economy.

The Rockefeller study examines the current environment in Arkansas that is supporting entrepreneurial activity and makes recommendations to improve Arkansas’ entrepreneurial climate, both short and long term. Many of the recommendations build on existing practices in the state including the Governor’s Award for Entrepreneurial Development.
