Montana Tech gearing up for PhD program

Montana Tech is preparing for it’s PhD program this fall semester and the impact it will have on the local high-tech industry in Butte.

Montana Tech Vice Chancellor Doug Abbott spoke about the program during a stop on the campus for the 2014 Research and Economic Development Tour.

Representatives from Butte industries – includling Resodyn and REC Silicon – say its importanat for Montana Tech to work with with private industry. Abbott believes the PhD program at Tech will have a positive economic impact on the local economy.
