Bacterin hires medical device industry vet as new president

Bacterin International http://bacterin.com/ has hired Robert Di Silvio as president of the company.

The move comes in the midst of CEO Dan Goldberger’s work to change the Belgrade-based company’s business strategy. The adjustments involve a renewed focus on efficiency and productivity in the company’s sales force and investment in research and development. The company reported a net loss of more than $4 million during the first three months of 2014 — losses that were expected as the company is remolded.

In the president position, Di Silvio will be responsible for management of sales, marketing and business development.
