Study shows nonprofits have huge impact on the Gallatin Valley of Montana
June 28, 2014 /
It can be difficult to think of organizations almost entirely dependent on charitable donations as having much of a positive impact on a community’s economy, but a study released this month shows just that.
Nonprofit organizations in the Gallatin Valley turned roughly $44 million in donations into more than $1 billion worth of goods and services, according to an economic impact analysis by the Northern Rocky Mountain Economic Development District. The report was funded in part by the city of Bozeman and NRMEDD.
