President Clinton Announces Millions of Additional Dollars for Montana Small Businesses

Former President Bill Clinton closed the fourth annual Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) America meeting with an announcement that will bring tens of millions of dollars over the next three years to Montana and Idaho businesses.

The program, Community Advantage Solutions, is a joint effort between Bank of America, Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs), and the Small Business Administration (SBA) to help increase access to affordable loans for small businesses across the United States. Montana Community Development Corporation (Montana CDC) and seven other CDFIs will use the funding to increase and expand current small business lending. The program will also help increase CDFI usage of the SBA’s Community Advantage Small Business Lending program. The CDFIs were selected based on expertise in Community Advantage lending.

"The loan and grant funding from Bank of America and the SBA will support the continued expansion of our work and allow us to provide additional access to capital for small businesses across Montana and Idaho," said Montana CDC President, Dave Glaser.
