Cabela’s Prepares for Grand Opening of Missoula, Montana Store Tomorrow – June 12

Doors open 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 12; family events, giveaways among festivities

SIDNEY, Neb. (June 3, 2014) – Cabela’s Incorporated, the World’s Foremost Outfitter® of hunting, fishing and outdoor gear, will celebrate the grand opening of its Missoula, Mont., Cabela’s Outpost store http://www.cabelas.com/stores/store_info.jsp?pageName=055 Thursday, June 12 with a weekend-long celebration featuring special guests, giveaways, family events and more.

Crowd entertainment in the parking lot of the new store – including a DJ, trivia games and more – will kick off opening day at 8 a.m. The grand opening ceremony will begin at 10:45 a.m. with a unique ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by Cabela’s Chief Executive Officer Tommy Millner and other Cabela’s executives. The ribbon will be cut by an arrow shot from a bow by local Cabela’s employee Kim Blaskowski – marking the official opening of Cabela’s 57th store across North America and third in Montana.

And that’s just the beginning of the celebration. Cabela’s grand opening festivities will continue throughout the weekend and include special appearances from:

Gary Moses, Counter Assault bear spray product ambassador – Friday and Saturday, June 13-14, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Tim Saylor and George Wyant, hosts of National Geographic’s Diggers television series – Friday, June 13, 2 to 6 p.m. and Saturday, June 14, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Chad and Marsha Schearer, Cabela’s Ambassadors and hosts of Shoot Straight TV – Saturday, June 14, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Sunday, June 15, 2 to 4 p.m.

Scott and Tiffany Haugen, Cabela’s Ambassadors and hosts of Trijicon’s The Hunt and Cooking with Cabela’s – Saturday and Sunday, June 14-15, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Cabela’s also will offer giveaways throughout the weekend. The first 500 customers through the door Thursday will receive a Cabela’s gift card valued between $5 and $250. The first 50 customers through the door Friday will receive a Cabela’s utility bag valued at $24.99. On Saturday the first 50 shoppers will receive a Cabela’s commemorative cap valued at $14.99. And on Sunday, the first 50 customers will receive a Cabela’s gift card valued between $5 and $100.

During the celebration weekend, customers 18 years and older will have a chance to enter to win a $1,000 Cabela’s shopping spree. Additionally, a variety of activities for the entire family will be hosted Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., weather permitting.
