Montana Governor Steve Bullock outlines early education priorities – Early Edge Montana

Montana is one of 8 states that have yet to invest in pre-K, "It’s time that Montana joins the 42 other states that have made meaningful investments in the human capital of our earliest learners. During the next legislative session I’m going to bring forward a proposal that ensures that Montana finally gives our youngest learners an early edge so they have every opportunity to reach their full potential." Gov. Steve Bullock

It’s all about the kiddos for Governor Steve Bullock who packed the house at a Business Leader’s Summit this Wednesday morning in Missoula to discuss one of his highest priority proposals which would ensure that every child has access to high-quality pre-school programs starting at the age of 4.

"Ultimately no matter where we live, what our personal background, whether we’re rich or poor or young or old, we really want the same things," said Bullock.

Governor Steve Bullock told a conference room full of business leaders Wednesday that we all desire good jobs, safe communities and the ability to take care of ourselves and families, "But most importantly we want to know that we’re giving our kids, our grandkids, that next generation… an even better life then we had growing up here."
