Dear friends of Montana Rural Development Partners

Today is the final day of operations for MT RDP. It has been our privilege to work with you all and to share in the common vision to strengthen economic development in Montana.

Many thanks to each and every MT RDP board member that has served over the past ten years. It was not always an easy task as funding has been a battle for the past seven years.

Special thanks to my mentor and dear friend, Gene Vuckovich. Gene served as Executive Director for the past 8 years – working not only on state and community issues, but countless national issues as well. Gene is going to give retirement a try – but I think he will be back running his consulting business before long.

It has been said that when God closes a door, He opens a window. For me, that window is a temporary contract working for MEDA. It is my task to make sure that there is a smooth transition and no loss of service to MEDA members as MT RDP closes. I will also complete the Certified Communities contract and organize the Resource Team Assessments that are currently scheduled.

I look forward to conducting MEDA "business as usual" on Monday – and am happy to be working with all of you.

Again, many thanks for the support you have all given to MT RDP over the past ten years.

Sincerely,

gloria
