Max Baucus reflects back on his long career in politics

The MDT Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program encourages and supports the participation of companies owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals in transportation contracts.

His whistlestop farewell tour of Montana concluded, Sen. Max Baucus sat down Sunday in the house where he grew up to reflect on his long U.S. Senate career and what led him into politics in the first place.

Baucus is expected to be confirmed soon by the U.S. Senate as President Barack Obama’s nominee as the next ambassador to China. After that, Baucus will resign his seat in the Senate, where he has served for 35 years and longer than any Montanan.
