Governors Decry Federal Inaction

Colorado’s Democratic governor and Oklahoma’s Republican governor agree: The lack of bipartisan agreement in Washington is hurting states.

Colorado’s John Hickenlooper and Oklahoma’s Mary Fallin, speaking Wednesday at the winter gathering of the National Governors Association in the capital, said that despite the recent budget deal struck on Capitol Hill, many issues vital to states remain unresolved. Among them: education funding, tax reform, water resources development, and Internet sales taxes.
