Primary Duties

Raising, coordinating and administering funds from industrial clients and government sponsors to support research projects being conducted by faculty members and graduate students with the support of CAMP staff, and ensuring the projects are completed within cost, on schedule, consistent with the highest technical/quality standards, and satisfying the requirements of the sponsors/clients. In the context of Montana Tech’s mission in graduate education, CAMP research is expected to result in doctoral dissertations, master’s theses or projects, and/or peer-reviewed publications.

Being a primary liaison with industry, government agencies, and other clients and effectively match industry research, technical service, and other industry needs to either faculty and/or students at Tech, staff and/or equipment at Tech, or to a collaboration of faculty and students involved in the Montana Collaborative Ph.D. program in Materials Science.

Providing leadership for CAMP and its staff and associated faculty, students, and departments, working collaboratively with all.

Teaching courses and supervising graduate research in the Materials Science Ph.D. program, other graduate programs, and occasionally teaching at the undergraduate level.
