NorthWestern Energy, in cooperation with the National Center for Appropriate Technology, is presenting a two-day program aimed at helping those in the building industry understand how changes in design and construction techniques can affect home energy efficiency and also learn about coming changes in the Montana Energy Code.
The program, Energy Boot Camp for Builders, will be held at four locations across Montana in the first two weeks of December. (Details below)
The Boot Camp will allow participants to learn about the latest changes to the Montana Energy Code and understand how building science continues to shape the energy code and above-code energy standards such as Energy Star. Participants will also learn to use software tools that can make it easier to meet energy code requirements, use building tightness and duct tightness testing equipment and become blower door and duct tightness certified.
