Montana Office of Tourism Partners with Warren Miller Entertainment

The iconic film company’s 64th production will debut in Bozeman, October 19th at
8 p.m. at the Emerson Center.

Through a partnership with the Montana Office of
Tourism, Warren Miller Entertainment spent several weeks filming at Montana ski resorts
last winter. The result is a lively, feature segment dedicated to skiing the state’s
celebrated cold smoke in this year’s film, Ticket to Ride.

The 64th film in a legendary
series of action sports entertainment, Ticket to Ride, will premiere in Bozeman at the
Emerson Center, 8 p.m. on October 19.

"Montana is known for spectacular unspoiled nature and breathtaking experiences," said
Katy Peterson, Chief of Marketing, Montana Office of Tourism. "Our partnership with
Warren Miller Entertainment pairs the state with an iconic name in the ski industry and
puts the spotlight on Montana as a premier winter destination. By being featured in
Ticket to Ride, people will have even more reasons to visit the world-class destination
that exists in our backyards," Peterson concluded.

The official film tour will hit 80 markets with 200 shows, reaching approximately 300,000
dedicated snow sport enthusiasts. The Montana segment, featuring high-profile local
athletes like Keely Kelleher and Scot Schmidt, is positioned between exotic winter
locales like the fjords of Greenland and Iceland’s Troll Peninsula.

"The movie puts Montana on the map–its mountains, snowfall and community are
something you won’t find anywhere else in the world," said Doug Wales, Director of
Marketing and Sales, Bridger Bowl.

Schmidt, who has filmed with Warren Miller Entertainment for the last 30 years, praises
Big Sky Country in the film for its variety of skiing opportunities that locals may overlook.

"You get it all in Montana–the big giant runs at Big Sky, the fun stuff up at Whitefish and
the ma and pa ski hills in between. There’s a lifetime of things to do here."

Warren Miller Entertainment shows are an experience. Film attendees have a chance to
win ski vacations, heli-trips, prizes and gear, meet the athletes Scot Schmidt and Keely
Kelleher and get access to exclusive resort and retail savings from Warren Miller
partners. Tickets to the Bozeman, Helena, Missoula, Billings and Whitefish premieres
are available at REI and online.
