U of M climate scientist Dr. Steve Running says new UN report should, but likely won’t, spur Congress to act on climate change

The first comprehensive report by the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change since 2007 will be released this week and it’s expected to confirm, with little doubt, that humans are causing global warming. The IPCC’s work on climate change won the Nobel Peace prize in 2007. University of Montana Regents Professor of Ecology Steve Running was a member of the panel that assembled that report.
