CodeMontana – Statewide program aims to produce more Montana computer science graduates

A statewide advocacy board announces a brand new program aimed at Montana high school students, helping them to secure high paying jobs.

The program is called CodeMontana http://www.codemontana.org/ , an online program that teaches high school students the basics of computer software development.

CodeMontana is open to all high school students and there is no entrance fee. According to code.org, Computer Science degrees result in the highest paid jobs but only a small percentage – 2.4 percent- of college students graduate in the field and that number is dropping.
