Funding woes at Montana Tech cut program; eight staffers losing jobs

Eight full-time staff members will lose their jobs after money ran out for a research and development program located at Montana Tech.
The Center for Advanced Mineral and Metallurgical Processing, or CAMP, is funded through a joint venture between Montana University System and private industry.
"It has not been successful in getting grants," said spokesperson Bev Hartline, vice chancellor of research and dean of the Tech graduate school. "It has used up the money in its budgets.
