University of Montana to join hunt for Earth-like planets

Through a project dubbed Minerva, the Department of Physics and Astronomy at UM will soon join the hunt for rocky exoplanets with a $1.1 million grant from NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
Along with Harvard and Penn State universities and the California Institute of Technology, UM will gain unfettered access to groundbreaking technology in a revolutionary field of science.
It’s a program McCrady dubbed a game-changer.
