Missoula College should obtain accreditation, absorb MCPS adult education programs

If the Montana University System, which includes the University of Montana-Missoula, fully implements its College! Now program, a program for which it received about $4 million or $5 million from the Lumina Foundation to implement, all the two-year former colleges of technology will become true community colleges. Only Helena College and one in the state system are fully accredited in their own right. The state’s locally funded community colleges – Flathead Valley, Dawson at Glendive, and Miles at Miles City – are fully accredited in their own right. Missoula College is not fully accredited in its own right. It is accredited through UM, a convoluted arrangement.
