Montana Food and Agriculture Development Center RFP

The State Procurement Bureau is issuing this Request for Proposal (RFP) on behalf of the Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Development Division. This RFP is for professional services for the Food and Agriculture Development Center Program to provide specialized technical assistance to Montana’s value-added food, farm-derived renewable energy and other businesses that add value to agricultural products and resources.

The enabling legislation requires that each offeror be a Certified Regional Development Corporation (CRDC), or a nonprofit organization that serves at least a four-county region and was established before January 1, 2009. This is a mandatory requirement in order to respond to this Request for Proposal.

Food and Agriculture Development Centers assist Montana entrepreneurs with food and other value-added product development and marketing and with farm-based energy development.

The program supports economic development by ensuring that more of the state’s food, agricultural and energy dollars circulate in Montana. The network of centers provides training, coaching, assistance accessing financial resources and technical assistance.
