May 13, 2013View for printing

The Powell Economic Partnership, Inc. (PEP) mission is to lead long term economic growth for a vibrant and sustainable community through uniting business, community and government to create wealth, jobs and improve the quality of life consistent with the culture and environment of the Powell Valley.

PEP has delivered excellent results for our community in terms of business development, job creation and retention, and creating strong relationships with City, County and State agencies. To continue this success and execute at a high level, PEP is ready to hire its first full-time Executive Director. This is an excellent opportunity to leave your mark on an up and coming economic development agency.

Powell, Wyoming, located in the beautiful Big Horn Basin, is a rural community with a rich agricultural and oil production history and a first class community college. Business owners benefit from a favorable tax structure and a small town atmosphere. Just a 72 mile drive from the east entrance to Yellowstone Park and minutes from many outdoor activities make Powell an outstanding opportunity waiting for businesses and families.

The Executive Director is responsible for consistent analysis of current capabilities and opportunities in the Powell Valley, driving an environment for attracting new business and industry, fundraising and developing a system for ensuring existing business growth.

A Bachelor's Degree, or comparable experience, is required; MBA or advanced degree preferred. Two years of progressively responsible experience in economic development, or related field with demonstrated management experience is a minimum requirement.

A salary and benefits package will be negotiated based on skills and experience. Closing date is June 15, 2013.
