Civic leaders explain Great Falls growth policy planning

From the physical, to the social, and economic development, the city’s growth policy covers a broad range of topics.

Mike Haynes, the city’s planning director, said, "The growth policy is a vision document for the future of the city of Great Falls."

He explained, "It’s not a regulatory document so it doesn’t say the city shall do this, the city must do that, but what it does is it looks at things like land use, transportation, housing and community facilities, including infrastructure."
