URGENT ACTION requested to Save the Montana Main Street program!

Last week an amendment to reinstate funding for the Montana Main Street Program in the Senate Finance and Claims Committee failed with a 10 to 10 vote. HB2 will move to the Senate floor this week and, at this time, does not contain any funding for this exemplary and most effective program.

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW Montana Main Street is a successful program, delivering technical assistance, grant funds, support and training to people across Montana.

Many towns struggle to attract businesses, shoppers, renters and tourists. Main Street gives them a leg up: building capacity and connecting small business owners to important resources in and out of Montana. Downtown businesses are hard-pressed for time, funding and manpower. They can't do it alone. Montana Main Street provides much-needed assistance to preserve and promote local businesses and a healthy economy.
