Elite cadre of MAPS students make up new production group

MAPS Media Institute http://www.mediarts.org students are directing, shooting and editing client work this winter.

In the fall, MAPS launched a stand-alone creative unit called MAPS Productions, which is now producing client work.

An elite group of older students who have been a part of the Bitterroot-based MAPS Media Institute for two years were invited to join the unit.

President Peter Rosten said feedback last year from the students led the teachers and board to launch MAPS Productions.

It’s all part of passing the torch and continuing to grow MAPS, he said.

In the never-ending search for future MAPS funding I came across this site: http://greatnonprofits.org/ If I understand it correctly, potential donors use this site to select worthy candidates for philanthropy.

The way this works is that people write ‘reviews’ and the word spreads. If you’re amenable, please enter the FLORENCE PREVER ROSTEN FOUNDATION in the ‘search’ box and then write a review. If you’re too busy or don’t wanna, no worries.

I’ve also attached recent letters of support that’ll give you an idea of where we are today.

Many and continued thanks,

Peter
