HATCH 2012 winner Distil.it http://distil.it/ recently received $1.8 million financing last week for their content protection network (CPN). The seed round was led by HATCH judge John Frankel of ff Venture Capital, who met Distil Co-founder and CEO Rami Essaid at HATCH. Prior to the announcement, Essaid told us that "Hatchpitch gave Distil amazing exposure. Thanks to the pitch event, we were able to meet our current lead investor and raise our next round of funding." We’re proud of Distil’s many accomplishments since last year’s event, which includes participating in TechStars inaugural Cloud Class in San Antonio and their CEO Rami Essaid honored as one of Fourteen Entrepreneurs to Watch by Under30CEO.
