Bridger Alternative Program making a difference for at-risk students in Bozeman, Montana

When she became pregnant, Aleah Varos felt she needed to drop out of Bozeman High School. Instead she decided to try the high school’s Bridger Alternative Program http://www.bozeman.k12.mt.us/bridger/ for kids at risk of dropping out, and it has changed her life.

Now the 17-year-old single mom is on track to graduate and plans to study pre-veterinary sciences at Montana State University.

Bridger’s staff "is just wonderful," Varos said. "I’m so happy I’m graduating…. It’s helped me be an adult."
