Vann’s announces new CEO, pledges return to core business

"I want to focus on Montana," said Regelbrugge. "I don’t want to be everything to everyone."

"One of the people who really helped me want to buy the company was Pete Vann," said Regelbrugge. "Pete Vann did one heckuva job building a great company with a great reputation. I will do my best to honor that reputation."

Vann’s Inc. http://www.vanns.com took on a new name and a new chief executive officer on Monday as the Montana electronics chain came out of bankruptcy.

"It lets the vendor community know we’re a different company," incoming CEO Greg Regelbrugge said. "We want to separate ourselves from the previous company that went into Chapter 11. That way we have structurally the chance to come out of this clean and start fresh. But the names on the buildings won’t change. We will remain Vann’s."

The full corporate name will become Vann’s Acquisition LLC. Regelbrugge said the "Acquisition" addition alerts electronics manufacturers that the company is under new management and new finances.
